Our qualified interpreters have mastered the communication skills, cultural competencies, and critical thinking abilities needed to interpret effectively. Interpreters work between American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English while exercising keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy.

In addition to certification by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, our interpreters are assessed through a multi-layered quality control assurance system which exceeds industry standards:

• Pre-Assignment (testing, vetting of interpreters and certifications, analysis of request requirements)
• During Assignment (real-time assessment by trained interpreters)
• Post-Assignment (follow up, stakeholder feedback)

Our extensive network of nationally and state certified interpreters allows us to match you with an interpreter experienced in your field. Our interpreters are experienced working in medical, education, legal, government, and business environments. All of our interpreters maintain HIPAA compliant protocols and confidentiality agreements, so all work-related information remains secure and confidential.

Our schedulers work to successfully match you with the right interpreters for your needs. They curate a list of potential interpreters qualified for your request based on skill levels, type of sign language needed (ASL, signed English, etc.), gender preference, and other special considerations, and then confirm availability and keep you informed with prompt confirmations.

Whether it’s a birthday party, family gathering, medical appointment, or legal setting, you can request a Gateway interpreter who is highly skilled and ready for your event. We can fulfill same-day requests or unique rush interpreting needs. Once you make an interpreting request, our scheduling team will begin scheduling your ASL interpreter and confirm your appointment.
